Mrs. Marnie Narboni

We are thrilled to honor Mrs. Marnie Narboni with the Rabbi Israel M. Axelrod Excellence in Education Award.

Morah Marnie Narboni has been a devoted 4Y teacher at CTA for the past ten years.  She is a native Philadelphian whose journeys took her far and wide and ultimately led her back to her roots.

Marnie developed her deep pride in her Judaism growing up as a first generation American with a strong and rich European heritage. She studied German and Journalism at NYU where she also acted in NYU’s theater and film. Marnie learned Hebrew through the National Jewish Outreach Program and later went to work for them. Her journey took her to studying at Yeshivat Neve Yerushalayim in Yerushalayim and then on to Los Angeles where she met her husband Moshe.

Marnie’s strong pride in her Jewish roots and desire to give back to the Jewish people led her to start teaching in Jewish education; first teaching preschool and Hebrew School at Har Zion in Penn Valley and Adath Jeshurun in Elkins Park and finally at TA, which became “home.”

Marnie is passionate about teaching 4Y which allows her to draw on her theater and writing skills. She is thrilled to be a part of what she describes as the “sweet lives” of her students and to have an impact on their lives and on the generations to come.
